HOW TO ACHIEVE 100% EMPLOYMENT AND LIVABLE WAGES FOR ALL

The standard approach of businesses that make up OUR economies is to employ the least possible staff, minimize payroll, and push for maximum output. Businesses seek to minimize health insurance expenses, and at times increase part-time staff to do so. While this contributes to the overall employment rate it hinders people from making a livable wage when the federally dictated minimum wage only provides for roughly half of the necessary annual income to meet the costs of living.

In order to even begin attempting to achieve 100% employment WE must be willing to rethink how business conducts itself, and what is necessary for everyone to achieve a livable wage. The first variable to making this feasible is to reduce the cost of living. And the only way to do so is through the intentional development of micro-housing so that all can achieve home ownership. Second, WE must support the responsible consumption of products and services, whereby money can be funneled in an “equitable” manner for ALL (rather than into elite’s deepening pockets). It is the responsibility of business and government to use profit to the betterment of humanity (not one’s own luxurious standards of living and assets). By investing in and enriching the businesses that prove to reinvest in the well-being of society we can ALL see “returns”. Thirdly, with respect to 100% employment, WE and businesses must rethink staffing. Even if enough housing and other necessary products and services are accessible, everyone needs the income to afford them. It is important to acknowledge that average income has actually gone down since 1980, while the cost of living has increased by ~5x. As such, WE must call attention to the “elephants in the room” – executives, board members, investors and other overpaid elites have all increased their income (whether passive or not) by 3 – 5x since 1980, when they have earned 3x(+) the cost of living since 1980 at today’s rates. This money was never for elites to keep, but they have gotten away with it because “We the People of the United States” have tolerated these schemes as we scrape by with unfair pay at an even greater “cost” to mostly everyone else in the world – we are distracted because of our own “poverty”. The elites do not care because we choose to accept the work and pay that they make available, dangling it like carrots – in their minds our “tolerance” is what makes this “fair”, and it will continue on this way until we demand otherwise through responsible consumerism and legislation or put in the work to provide for ourselves and each other. 

By reducing the cost of living through micro-housing and increasing the minimum wage to accommodate these costs, each of us can make ends meet and live comfortably while reducing the amount of time we have to work each year. In grade school WE enjoyed summer vacation, and that is something that can continue into adulthood. Some jobs are done over three months of intense labor with one or more months of leave between projects. WE can do similar and double the employment rate by hiring two people for every one job, and allow each to work 6 to 9 months out of the year. This will contribute to a stronger and more skilled workforce. As long as you make enough money to cover expenses, do you really care if you’re off work for three to six months out of the year? There is plenty of money, it’s just being hoarded and funneled out of the United States to avoid taxes. By earning OUR fair share of profits that would not exist without OUR contributions to businesses, this money will not leave economic circulation as is currently happening in a compounding manner, but instead circulate and recirculate through responsible consumerism. Of course there will be short-term costs correlated to this approach, but in the near long-term businesses with necessary products will realize increases in productivity and profits as more people (including team members) have the money to consume products. It is only fair to demand that profits be distributed fairly among all staff (who share in the creation of this revenue) and that remaining profits be reinvested responsibly rather than funneling money to further enrich the already rich. Minimum wage is dictated by the federal government, so “We the People” should demand that it increase fairly according to the true costs of living and economic productivity.

Fourth, WE must share in manufacturing and agriculture, prioritizing “products” based on native “natural” (organic) resources, and allow each country to import and export Fair Trade Certified goods to provide for its citizens. Tariffs will organically become obsolete, and prime industries will thrive locally. Businesses that choose to import natively produced and available “goods” to cut costs will be taxed accordingly (this has been done historically by the United States government). We can work together as individual towns, cities, and nations to produce adequate resources without artificially creating demand to achieve short-term profits at the expense of people and OUR planet. WE must work together to meet the needs of society so all can “civilize”.

Collectively this avoids socialism and eliminates welfare as the U.S. government has designed itself for since FDR, which was reduced by Bill Clinton but has become evermore necessary due to the government’s priority of developing “affordable (rental) housing”. Welfare (including social security) is necessary for the elderly and disabled, not the young and capable. People will be less dependent on welfare and other government-backed financing as home owners of micro-housing. People are not meant to be bogged down in constant immersion with their work, but that is exactly what’s happening now. People are exhausted trying to make ends meet, and have little time to take care of themself or consider how their work and other “contributions” affect the whole of society. OUR existence in “the rat race” makes handsome profits for business elites and serves to the government’s oligarchic advantage, while OUR ability to actively participate in legislation at local and federal levels is intentionally hindered. Exercise, nutrition, children, continued education, social life and vacationing all take a hit because of how the United States has rigged the economy. WE don’t have to  live like this. WE can choose to take on this “mission to civilize” for the betterment of ourselves and ALL. WE are not sheep in need of shepherding, and while they won’t admit it, every government needs US more than WE need them. Governments have designed themselves to take from the poor to fill their ever-deepening pockets. This is not a push for anarchy – it is a push for civility and the opportunity to achieve a livable wage and accommodating standard of living for ALL.
